Our Review of the Suunto t-Series Replacement Battery

This replacement battery is ONLY for the Suunto t1, Suunto t3, and Suunto t4.

Kit includes:

Suunto Tip: HOW TO CHANGE A SUUNTO BATTERY

1. Insert a coin into the slot on the battery compartment cover on the backside of the Wristop (for the lrg. black covers, a NICKEL is the correct coin). NEVER USE A SCREWDRIVER. There are no threads!
2. Turn the coin counterclockwise just until it lines up with the circle marked "OPEN" alongside the cover. 
3. Remove the cover. The cover will usually not pop out. Use a fingernail to pry it open but mind the O-ring. Ensure that the O ring and all surfaces are clean and dry. Do not stretch or puncture the O ring. 
4. Remove the old battery carefully. 
5. Place the new battery into the compartment (positive side facing up). 
6. With the O ring in the correct position, replace the battery compartment cover and turn it clockwise with a coin just until it lines up with the "CLOSED" circle. DO NOT TURN PAST THIS POINT.

The note for the description states the picture of the replacement battery KIT includes an O-ring and replacement cap, but if you order it you will only get the battery. 8 bucks for a 3 dollar battery. Without a replacement O-ring and cap, this is not a very good deal. The picture of the KIT is quite misleading.
