Love the functionality, watch construction? Ich do

I bought the face protector hoping that it would add some longevity to my new T3 watch, which was my second, after the first one broke in less than 3 weeks! Ouch! Well...I am now getting ready to send in my second T3, (2 1/2 months total). The functionality that the T3 offers is amazing -- just please rebuild the watch in a more durable design. I've had a Vector for over 8 years now, that is one tough watch! And, to Suunto's credit they fixed it right up after I destroyed it in a nice little road bike crash about 3 years ago. Suunto, you have amazing functionality, although I am beginning to question your new designs, and their durability?!

Not Up To Par

I ordered the face protectors because I am hard on watches since I joined the Marine Corps 8 years ago, I own two Suunto watches, both have taken a beating, one has even survived after my left hand grabbed a high voltage line for almost three minutes in Iraq. The watches are great, but the face protectors leave a lot to desire.

it is easy to operate for someone that could not operate the old vcr and at first I thought the workouts established by the "coach" were easy but they are becoming harder the longer "coach" is trianing me. I wish they had a larger selection of watchbands. Possibly made of silicone in different colors. As for the watch protector, it is a unique solution to a minor problem. cannot wait to get the GPS pod.

These face protectors are a little overpriced, but they do their job. I've banged my watch a few times since I've put them on and they've managed to keep it scratchless. Somewhat clouds the visiblity of the display, but still readable. And as most people have mentioned, dirt tends to get trapped underneath the FP. Still a wise investment.

Face Protectors

These aren't cheap, but they do a good job of protecting the watch face. If your watch is exposed to a lot of perspiration--as mine is--they tend to harden and yellow over time. Also, they need to be removed occasionally to clean out dirt, etc., that collects between the face and the protector. All in all, though expect a long service life out of this item.

It does exactly as it is supposed to. I have put it through quite a bit of abuse and it has protected the watch perfectly, however it does not hug the face of the watch and therefore allows debris to get between it and the watch face making reading the watch in low light difficult. If this problem was addressed then I would give it the full five stars.

Face Protector

I recently picked up the face protector (FP), although it feels good, durable and serves as a magnifying glass and gives the watch alttle more toughness, it however to my surprise gets too foggy most times and creates too much moisture between the FP and the watch itself, thus causes difficulty in reading the basic function: TIME. It is clearly not worth the price......Dilibe Anthony Aneke

It kinda works...

This is a good idea, and if you have a hard time reading your watch it might work well, however if you work in the outdoors like I do, these are more trouble than they are worth. Easily scratched and often have a penchant for collecting dirt and sweat, they do protect the crystal and make a nifty magnifying glass when you need to get a very small splinter out of your hand. Otherwise, this is a miss...
