The watch is great and it's nice looking, but i wish i could've gotten a color other than orange in the smaller band size. It's a little confusing to work but with the instructions I have figured it out and it works well with the heartrate belt. All in all it's a great watch and I love it.

I love the functionality & style of the watch, it is wonderful. I have found it easy to use in the gym and while running outdoors. My only problem with the watch has been the incorrect display of my heart rate & the flimsy transmitter belt. The first day I wore the watch it displayed my heart rate perfectly, but after that it has been a serious problem. While training with my trainer it displays my heart rate as 35-41 bpm on the watch, but sends the correct info to the treadmill. This is not very helpful for the logging feature, which was a huge selling point for me. I am working on resetting the watch, I hope that fixes the problem, if not I will return the watch. :( Other than that I am in love with the watch!

I got the T1C as a present and really like it. The design is cool, and the controls and set up are logical. I use it for interval training on my bike and like the option to use the percentage of max heart rate instead of the BPM.
Two minor comments: I have pretty good eyes, but the stopwatch is nearly impossible to read. And a count down timer is no luxury that should be kept for just the fancier models!

I just bought the t1c on Monday (3/16/09) and besides the couple of setting problems that I had, it was fairly easy to set up. I am not that great with the techno world, so if I can program this watch, just about anyone can.

The Suunto t1 watch has everything you would want in an every day trainer. It has all of the major functions including heart rate zone as well as the stylish looks that make it versatile to wear outside of the gym.

I absolutely love this watch - it was pretty easy to set up. I love how big the face is and the large numbers for the time - easy to see. Only 1 complaint...no stop watch!! I just assumed it had one...that's the only reason it didn't get 5 stars with me.

I have great faith that one day I will be able to use this watch. It came highly recommended by a runner-friend. I have never used a HR training watch. It is extremely difficult to program and figure out. Not at all user friendly for the novice. If I didn't have help I would have returned it. I know its a good product, but it also needs packaging info for the techno-illiterates!

Plastic Cover?

I'm the proud owner of a black T1 and I'm very happy with the overall performance of the watch. However, I was very surprised when discovered that the cover is actually plastic!! I was very concerned it was going to be scratched even under normal wear conditions. And guess what? I used it at the gym last night and found out this morning the cover was already scratched!!! This is very dissapointing knowing that the watch is new and only have worn it for a couple of days.. arggghh!!!
