I also talked to my Dad and got him to order one also! Once the guys receive theirs I will check it out and see how it compairs to my old one and decide if I am going to order this model. I found the X9mi to be of great use when I deployed to Iraq, I had no problem with the simplicity of use, and ease of care I am looking forward to the same watch getting smaller and hopping they add the heart rate to the watch as well.I am looking forward to my next watch.

I have had my Suunto Vector watch in daily use for 3 years. I am a nurse, so I use it in measuring my patients' vital signs. I have a tourist business in Costa Rica, so I use it to measure altitude. It has given me dependable service and everyone comments on how attractive it is. I am very pleased with this watch! Extraordinary!

I owned three polars (including their 625 and 800 series) before my Suunto.

The Suunto has been more dependable:

  • better reading between watch and strap
  • no band issues
  • no accidental button pressing
  • no water issues

Hello,

My name is Joseph Hook. I am a Boarding Officer in the U. S. Coast Guard. I had one of your watches for over a year. It was perfect for the job I do out on the water. A few months ago I was conducting Counter Drug Operations in the Caribbean. During a Boarding, a team member drop a 75-80 pound door on my wrist. Lucky for me I was wearing the watch, which saved my wrist from being broken. I did have an imprint of the back side if the watch for a few days. As for the watch however, it did not survive the impact.

I just wanted to say thank you for a great watch...

I have to say that this has been the best on-line shopping experience. All my questions were answered (albeit one canned answer...easily forgiven) and action was taken immediately if at all possible (request for tracking info). Hey Jeff, Just wanted to let you know, this AM I talked to someone named Jenny. She was helpful and knowledgable about backpacks (we had ordered the Kelty Pathfinder and it won't be in until June so we are cancelling the order and figuring out a different one to get.) Anyway, the phone call was positive and helpful, so I thought I would give you that feedback. We don't know what we will get to replace it yet. I will do a little more research this afternoon.

Dear Christina, Long story short. I purchased some accessories from sunnto and after three weeks of looking at an empty mail box finally called FED-EX who told me they lost the package. After dealing with multiple FED-EX burecrats and about an hour of either talking or on hold they told me to contact the sender so they can file a claim and re-send. Not looking forward to dealing with the same hassle I had with FED-EX and with a heavy heart I shot an email to Janice at the help desk. I expected the same run around FED-EX gave me, but very much to my surprise less then 10 minutes later I had a message from Janice that all was well and that she was sending the package right away. I was and am very impressed with Janice's prompt and professional reply to my request and it was great not having to listen to a computer generated voice telling me to punch numbers or keep me on hold. Whatever you are doing with your team keep it up! If Janice is indicative of the people on your team that represent you, the company is truly outstanding manner.
